This filter fit my car perfectly. It also had an additional pad of filtration material that the original did not. It should do a much better job than the original, and I could even get longer life from it by removing the pad when it gets dirty. Great filter all around.
A severely restricted or incorrectly installed filter may affect airflow, but a warning light can have many causes. Professional diagnosis may be needed.
