I installed this catalytic converter on my 2004 Honda CRV 2.4L and it was a direct, perfect fit—no modifications needed. The flanges aligned precisely with the exhaust system. It cleared the engine codes (P0420) and the car is running cleanly. Reliable quality and simple installation for the CRV.

There is a great importance with this converter being EPA compliant and its build quality. It does fit as described and is not hard to install when the old parts are removed. The hardest part is dealing with rusted bolts during removal. This is a budget value part and seems to have a decent ceramic catalyst. It is a good way to get the car functioning again and back on the road.

Looks like a good quality item except for one important product detail. It has a pre-cat O2 sensor mount where my ‘01 CRV already has a pre-cat O2 on the exhaust pipe. This does not show in any photos. Rather than plug it, I’m just returning it. My second choice specifically says “single” O2 (post-cat, hopefully) mount.

First of all, be prepared to spend all day cursing and trying to get old bolts off. Lubricants, penetrates, breaker bars and torches were all used in my case. I guess after 230k miles it is to be expected but it is always unwelcome.This was exact fit replacement and while taking the old one off took many hours the installation of new one was just few minutes.I did get the p0420 code thrown in twice since the replacement but it went away on its own both times
