Our 2003 CR-V at 250K miles has been throwing P0420 codes intermittently for about a year. P0420 indicates catalytic convertor is not operating efficiently; in our case, it's 22 years old and has a quarter million miles, so it's just tired.This convertor is a bit smaller diameter than the OEM convertor but has a similar heft. The inclusion of new hardware and gaskets is a nice touch as there's no way that crusty, heat cycled fasteners can be effectively reused.Installation was relatively quick (five bolts and an O2 sensor) and took about an hour of leisurely wrenching on ramps. Fit was accurate and did not require bending, bashing, or fabbing. There was more than enough slack in the exhaust hangers to make up the 1/16 to 1/8" difference. Since it's a bolt in unit, it may not be the answer if thieves cut out your catalytic converter beyond the flanges.I've cleared the codes and have noticed no leaks, unusual smells, nor degradation of performance. The P0420 has not popped again, indicating that it's doing its job. For under $100, this is a very quick way of replacing an end-of-life cat to make a vehicle sellable or pass OBD2 scan emissions if your area requires them.Good value.

Easy to install took about 2 hours to remove old cross pipe and install new one couple of studs came out of the head no bid deal just make sure no aluminum is on the threads the studs for the mid pipe come with a squared end making it easy to install without a stud extractor tool. Now i will wait and see how long this replacement will last. You will need to replace your o2 sensors if you damage them otherwise you can reuse the ones from your old one.Installation:4/5Quality:3.5/5

The media could not be loaded. Great fitment. Cat’s allign almost perfectly minus a slight adjustment to the crossbar that goes from one Cat to the other on our 2012 Infiniti M37. The only downfall is we have an exhaust leak now coming from the converters out to the pipes. The nuts won’t get tight enough to secure the leak. One stud broke off leaving me no choice but to go to the muffler shop. Hope they can get these torqued enough to stop the leak.

Functionally the catalytic converter fit and fixed the P0420 code. The flanges on the exhaust were good and lined up perfectly. The only problem here is the heat shield brackets. I was unable to get them all to line up, but was able to use 1 in front and 1 on back and the other tabs now just function as anti rotation tabs. Is it perfect? No, but it works to fix the problem on my car for an affordable price.Had everything been lined up this probably this would have taken under an hour but ended up taking an extra 30-40 min to try to get the heat shield to fit. Had I not had a lift it would have been really frustrating.The quality of the converter is good. Not OEM, but the welds are good and the exhaust flanges are thick and quality to allow for good sealing. The provided seal had to be pressed into the machined ring.Even with the issues, I would purchase this and use over paying significantly more for an OEM one that has zero issue.
