The welds are perfect and the metal is heavy gauge, equal to what I had originally before someone tried to tut mine off and damaged it. This Fit right in place. The only thing I had to modify was the frame area to fit the o2 sensor but that wasn't difficult. Besides that this y catalytic converter fit well and is made of good quality material. I highly recommend.

I installed this PHILTOP catalytic converter in my driveway over the weekend on my Chevy Cruze 1.8L, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. I've done plenty of my own maintenance over the years, and this was one of the easier exhaust jobs I've tackled.The converter matched the factory part really well. All the mounting points lined up, the flanges fit correctly, and I didn't have to force anything or modify the pipes. The welds looked clean, and the overall construction felt solid right out of the box. It's definitely not one of those cheap replacement parts that leaves you wondering how long it'll last.After getting everything bolted up, I fired the car up and immediately noticed how much quieter it was. The exhaust leak was gone, the check engine light stayed off, and the engine idled smoother than it had in a long time.
