Functionally the catalytic converter fit and fixed the P0420 code. The flanges on the exhaust were good and lined up perfectly. The only problem here is the heat shield brackets. I was unable to get them all to line up, but was able to use 1 in front and 1 on back and the other tabs now just function as anti rotation tabs. Is it perfect? No, but it works to fix the problem on my car for an affordable price.Had everything been lined up this probably this would have taken under an hour but ended up taking an extra 30-40 min to try to get the heat shield to fit. Had I not had a lift it would have been really frustrating.The quality of the converter is good. Not OEM, but the welds are good and the exhaust flanges are thick and quality to allow for good sealing. The provided seal had to be pressed into the machined ring.Even with the issues, I would purchase this and use over paying significantly more for an OEM one that has zero issue.

Of course, only time will tell if this is a good product But it seems to be of decent quality it came on time and was not damaged.You do hear a lot of stories of these cheap catalytic converters failing after a few hundred miles but it’s not completely their fault if your car is burning a quart of oil every 200 miles. I do get some rattling sounds from the shrouds and heat shields. while revving the engine.

The heat shields were a little hard to make fit. Had to reshape them a little to get them on. Once on, the muffler worked. I'm 2 1/2 month in with the muffler and engine light has stayed off. I would recommend it.

It's cheap, it fit perfectly, and worked..... for about the months. Mine has some kind of blockage that caused it to overheat and develops a small leak at one of the seams. It did not clog due to a running issue. I'm a professional mechanic and I was impressed enough by the construction of this cat that I'm ordering another and I'm assuming this was a manufacturing fluke.

Well built steel catalytic converter, it has a cheaper ceramic element with anti vibration packing around it. It seems like it will do the job for emissions compliance. We will have to put miles on to see how long it lasts.

These catalytic converters were fairly easy to install without modifications. Get some flange bolts in case yours break or are deteriorated. You may need up to four for two flange assemblies. I still have a CEL for a cat fault. I did replace all the O2 sensors. Not sure if it’s the cats or O2s causing the issue. The cats likely do their jobs to reduce emissions and I live in a non inspection area so I’ll bypass the O2 signals from the sensors to get the CEL to disappear. These were installed on a 2016 Explorer.
