I recently installed this PHILTOP catalytic converter on my 2000 Honda Accord and I'm very pleased with the results. The fit was perfect - truly direct-fit as advertised with all the necessary gaskets and hardware included. Installation was straightforward and I didn't need to make any modifications.After driving for about two weeks, I've noticed my car runs smoother and the engine seems to have a bit more pep. The stainless steel construction appears very durable and well-made.Last weekend, I took a 300-mile road trip and was impressed with how the car performed - no check engine lights and fuel economy seems slightly improved compared to my failing original converter.For the price, this is an excellent alternative to the expensive dealer parts. Cheap alternative to the local parts house.Working as a mechanic I've replace many converters over the years and have learned that price typically equals useful life. If you just need a couple more years use out of your car go with a cheap cat to get you through your emission test, plan on keeping it for a long time, I would suggest going with o.e. or a premium replacement part.
