What Do Wheel Spacers Do?

• Improve Vehicle Stability: wheel spacers widen your vehicle wheel base, increasing stability and resistance to side roll-over. By widening the distance between the left and right wheels, the car is more planted. This improves overall handling, grip, and cornering. Added stability provides extra control for experienced riders, and an additional margin of safety for younger or less experienced riders.
• Provide Better Traction: wheel spacers increase tire to frame clearance allowing installation of wider wheels and high-traction mud,rock or snow tires.And this allows for larger brake calipers which fixed brake caliper clearance issues, and inner fender and suspension clearance.
• Gives Vehicle a Unique Stance/Look: wheel spacers will slightly push out the tires and make them perfectly aligned with the fender or in some cases even push them out past the fender for more of an aggressive look with a “wider stance”.
• This is good bang for the buck. Wheel spacers are an easy install that have a big effect on your ride. There aren’t many other aftermarket mods that make this much difference per dollar.

Installation by a professional technician is highly recommended.

Proper installation is to be performed by a trained professional with sufficient knowledge of these products. Refer to the Installation Instructions for additional information. The following points are guidelines only:

1. A torque wrench (no air tools) is required for the safe and proper installation of your new wheel spacers or adapters
2. Be sure to remove all corrosion from your vehicle's hub and rotor using sandpaper, a wire brush or a wire wheel to ensure correct centering and seating of the spacer
3. Make sure that the spacer or adapter seats completely flush against the hub of the vehicle and that the wheel seats completely flush against the face of the spacer
4. Make sure that the wheel spacers or adapters have studs with a thread pitch that matches your vehicle's studs
5. If they do not, additional lug nuts will be required

Your vehicle's OEM wheel studs may be longer than the spacer is thick. If that is the case, there are a couple of options:

1. Your factory wheel studs can be cut/trimmed down or replaced with longer studs
2. Your wheels may have pockets or cavities between the mounting holes. If these pockets are of sufficient size and shape to accomodate your vehicle's studs, you may not have the modify the studs

Never install wheels onto spacers if the vehicle's factory studs make contact with the back of the wheel. Make sure to confirm that the back of the wheel seats completely flush against the face of the spacer
