I decided to cut the floor under the middle row seats on my 2004 Suburban 5.3. Everything went well. This is a perfect, it has been in for 2 weeks and so far, no problems. It took me 2 hours just to find out how to remove the seats. The cutting took about 15 minutes. Changing the pump about 20 minutes. Closing the square hole and duck taping the cuts about 10 minutes. Replacing the seat about 1 hour. This worked much better than dropping the tank.
