A search for an air filter for my beloved 2011 Mini Cooper Clubman yielded four results at a major auto parts store. Prices ranged from about $21-$55, so this one beat the lowest price by a large margin. (The high-priced one is not a disposable filter.) By all appearances, it is on par with the three filters in the $20-$30 range, but at least $9 less.Quality is of course important, but it can take a while to evaluate, so I will update if there any issues arise.

Swapped this filter out on my Mini Cooper and it was a piece of cake. No problems at all. It seems to perform just as well as the OEM filter, maybe even better.
Not at all. No tools needed — just pop out the old filter and drop in the new one. Most installs take under 5 minutes. Do it yourself and save.
Yes. Carefully remove loose dust and debris before installing the new filter, making sure nothing falls into the intake.
A wet or damaged filter may restrict airflow. Inspect the filter and replace it if it cannot dry completely or maintain its original shape.
