1. Remove the sensor harness.
2. Remove filter housing with a 1 1/4" socket or 32mm socket or use a strap wrench. Recommended using a strap wrench so that you don't shear the plastic housing.
3. Turn 3 times (not to drench yourself in fuel before opening the drain valve), then loosen the yellow drain valve to drain water into a suitable container.
4. Remember to lubricate the new O-ring and reinstall everything
1. Remove the fuel line keepers on both lines by pushing down the yellow tabs and the keeper will go down out of the way.
2. The other fuel line will come off by squeezing both white tabs inward then remove.
3. Loosen the 7mm nut and use a 7mm socket wrench to loosen the clamp around the filter, twist to the right until it stops then pull upwards, and install following the same steps in reverse order.
1. You must cycle the key to the on position 6 times waiting approx 30 seconds each time before trying to start the truck.
2. Turn the ignition key to on, but do not start. Wait 30 seconds until the fuel pump times out, then turn the key back to off. Repeat 6 times.
3. You will probably notice strange noises coming from the fuel system until it is mostly full.
